FAIR MARITIM

Fair Maritim is an independent Danish maritime think tank founded by experienced professionals from the maritime sector, including former policymakers and industry experts. Its purpose is to support a fact-based and knowledge-driven public debate about maritime policy in Denmark, especially concerning shipping, ports, taxation, and related environmental issues.
The organization aims to act as a counterbalance to industry lobby interests, promoting transparency and broader societal interests in maritime decision-making.
OUR FOCUS AREAS
Fair Maritim participates in discussions on topics such as:
The tonnage tax system and the Danish International Ship Register (DIS), and their effects on competitiveness and employment; 
Employment conditions for Danish seafarers; 
The influence of subsidies and tax rules on public policy; and 
Maritime infrastructure, environmental policies, and industry analyses.
